Dr. Mary Bryson featured speaker at National LGBT Cancer Summit

Dr. Mary Bryson will be a featured speaker this Saturday, January 18, 2014 at the Sloan-Kettering Memorial Cancer Centre in New York, giving a talk titled “The experience of cancer for LGBT patients: From medical decision making through survivorship” based on the ongoing Cancer’s Margins project  research. This project brings together co-investigators and collaborators from across the country in public health and cancer research. The CIHR funded project seeks to understand how the LGBQT community in Canada experience breast and gynecological cancers from diagnosis through treatment and onwards, and hopes to improve the ways in which previously overlooked sexual and/or gender minority groups access cancer knowledge, support networks and care.
